INTERNATIONAL FOCUS ON THE EXHIBITORS SPECIAL EVENTS FOR MORE INFO EDITO EUROPAIN 2008 celebrates its 40th anniversary! On 31 May this year more than 150 people took part in the celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of UFFEB – the French Bakery & Confectionery Equipment Manufacturers Association – and EUROPAIN. In 1967, Europain was part of the Foire de Paris. It subsequently became an exhibition in its own right, and after a further 16 sessions, is now acclaimed as a world-renowned event. Europain, every 2 years! Since the last Europain in April 2005, a number of exhibitor and visitor surveys have been conducted to analyse the needs of the exhibition’s various participants. After extensive consultation with the Associations, exhibiting companies and the organisers of the IBA exhibition, UFFEB has decided to make EUROPAIN a biennial event. So the next session after 2008 will be in spring 2010.

PROMOSALONS – the network that promotes all the French trade exhibitions with an international dimension – has just awarded EUROPAIN the prize for the exhibition with the highest number of international promotional initiatives: Europain is promoted actively in 56 countries! FOCUS ON THE EXHIBITORS: GEARING UP FOR A MAJOR EVENT Italy, first exhibiting country at Europain - Interviews with: Mr Michele Rettore, Managing Director, ALIT ALIT, with its customer base scattered across Europe and around the world, feels it is particular important to exhibit at EUROPAIN given the exhibition’s international vocation and the range of visitors from semi-industrial bakers to major industrial groups, which is also ALIT’s target market. In order to follow developments in the sector and present our innovative concepts, the Costa Group owners and our team of architects and designers participate in the major international exhibitions, including Europain, where Costa Group has exhibited since the 2002 session. The results vindicate this decision: the international market now represents 60% of the company’s business! The size of the event and its international dimension make Europain 2008 a must. A crucial opportunity to consolidate relations with our customers, follow industry developments by comparing notes and present the latest concepts ‘made in Italy’.
